On July 7 by letter, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians confirmed the re-election of His Eminence Archbishop Karekin Bekchian as Primate to the Diocese of Germany of the Armenian Church

On June 27, during annual the Diocesan delegate’s meeting, Archbishop Karekin was re-elected to serve as the Primate.

His Holiness congratulated His Eminence on the occasion of the election asking that the Holy Right Hand of Almighty God protect and assist Archbishop Karekin to continue his mission with spiritual devotion, for the welfare and prosperity of the Armenian Diocese of Germany and the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church.
