Born in 1962 in Beirut. Baptismal name: Hakob.
1967–1976 - Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Christian School, Beirut.
1976–1977 - Sahaguian-Levon Meguerditchian College, Beirut.
1977–1979 - Armenian Theological Seminary in Antelias.
1979–1984 - Gevorgian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
1995–1996 - St. Nersess Theological Seminary (New York) and St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary.

• Ecclesiastical Ranks and Ordination

1984 - Ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Hoosig Santourian.
1986 - Ordained a celibate priest by Archbishop Voskan Galpakian.
1988 - Received the four ranks of vardapet by Archbishop Nerses Pozapalian. Thesis: “History of the Church of Antioch.”
1998 - Received the rank of Senior Archimandrite (Dzayraguyn Vardapet) by Archbishop Hovnan Derderian.
2006 - Consecrated bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
