Dean of the Monasteries of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

Born in 1971 in the village of Dimitrov. Baptismal name: Gegham.

1978–1988 – Dimitrov Secondary School.

1988–1993 – Gevorgian Theological Seminary.

 ● Ecclesiastical Ranks and Ordination

1993 – Ordained to the diaconate by the hand of His Grace Bishop Anania Arabajian.

1995 – Ordained a celibate priest by the hand of His Holiness Karekin I, Catholicos of All Armenians.

1999 – Received the four degrees of the Archimandrite rank by the hand of His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Pozapalian—thesis: Catholicos Karekin I Hovsepian: His Life and Spiritual-Scholarly Activities.

2010 – Consecrated a bishop by the hand of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

 ● Tenure

1994–1995 – Executive Director of the "Alex and Marie Manoogian" Treasury House of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

1995–1999 – Personal Secretary and Staff-Bearer to His Holiness Karekin I, Catholicos of All Armenians.

1999–2000 – Spiritual Pastor of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist of the Armenian Diocese of France, Paris.

2000–2001 – Assistant to the Grand Sacristan of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin.

2001–2005 – Acting Grand Sacristan of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin.

2006–2008 – Abbot of Haghpat Monastery and Vicar General of the Diocese of Gougark.

2008–2009 – Assistant to the Grand Sacristan of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Since 2009 – Dean of the Monasteries of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
