Born in 1976 in the village of Voskehat. Baptismal name: Vardges.

1983–1993 – Voskehat Secondary School.

1994–1999 – Vaskenian Theological Seminary of Sevan.

1999–2000 – Gevorgian Theological Seminary.

2001–2002 – Diaconal School in Aarhus, Denmark, specializing in Social Theology.

2002–2004 – Moscow Theological Academy (Candidate of Theological Sciences).

● Ecclesiastical Ranks and Ordination

2000 – Ordained deacon by Archbishop Mesrop Grigoryan.

2001 – Ordained hieromonk by Archbishop Voskan Galpakian.

2006 – Received the four degrees of the rank of Archimandrite from Bishop Yeznik Petrosyan. Thesis: “Ecumenism in the 20th Century and the Armenian Church.”

2010 – Consecrated bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

2000–2005 – Secretary of the Inter-Church Relations Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

2004 – Member of the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Officers Network.

2004–2009 – Member of the Church and Society Commission of the Conference of European Churches.

2005 – Director of the Inter-Church Relations Office of the Mother See.

2005 – Member of the Board of Trustees of the Armenia Round Table Foundation of the World Council of Churches.

Since 2009 – Member of the Central Committee of the Conference of European Churches.

2012–2015 – Primate of the Diocese of Artik.

Since 2015 – Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Great Britain and Ireland.
