The construction works took place in 1961-1962. The development of the project was assigned to A. Galikyan. However, in 2002, as a result of the expansions made during the reign of Catholicos Karekin II, it was moved to the city, Komitas Square. It has not undergone any changes, it has remained in its original form, which is fixed on the carved inscription.
