From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, we extend our Patriarchal blessing and heartfelt wishes to all our faithful people, especially our noble women and young maidens.
The Gospel account of the Annunciation brings us the joyful news of the Savior's coming into the world and presents the image of the Holy Mother of God—humble, meek, and faithful. Her sacred devotion has become a blessed testimony and a noble example for Armenian women throughout all generations.
On this spiritually renewing day, our Church offers a special blessing for women who await the joy of motherhood. We pray that our nation strengthens through the birth of new children and that our sons and daughters may grow under the blessing of God and their parents' loving care—with faithful hearts, love for their homeland, and a firm grounding in the values of national identity.
May the Holy Mother of God continue inspiring hope in God and all virtues for our mothers and sisters. Adorned with these virtues, may they offer their care and devotion within their families and throughout our ecclesiastical, national, and homeland life.
We beseech the intercession of the Holy Mother of God before her Only-Begotten Son, that the Lord may, with His Holy Right Hand, preserve and protect our homeland and people in peace, stability, and well-being, and bless all efforts dedicated to the prosperity of our nation and country.
