On the occasion of the Day of Knowledge, Writing and Education, We extend Our congratulations to pupils, students and educators, as well as to all those engaged in the field of education, and convey to you Our Patriarchal love and blessing.

Education enlightens the human mind and soul, shaping and forming the individual by imparting knowledge suited to the demands and challenges of the present age, so that one may contribute to progress and the common good. Education opens before the individual the path to the knowledge of God and, at the same time, nurtures worthy sons and daughters of the nation through enduring national and spiritual values, fostering conscious and responsible citizens.

We wish strength and steadfastness to all those devoted to the cause of education, that through their responsible and praiseworthy mission they may strengthen in the hearts of their pupils a zeal for learning, inspire diligence in the pursuit of knowledge, and reinforce in them a spirit of love for their people and devotion to their Homeland.

To you, dear pupils and students, We wish diligence and perseverance, so that through the good fruits of your acquired knowledge you may make a worthy contribution to the welfare of our country and people and bring joy to your families through your achievements. “So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding,” instructs Holy Scripture (Proverbs 2:2).

May the Lord preserve our Homeland in peace beneath the most gracious protection of His Holy Right Hand, and abundantly bless and strengthen our people scattered throughout the world, now and forever. Amen.
