Prayer for Peace Offered at the Mother Cathedral

On September 2, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Artsakh, a Prayer for Peace was offered at the Mother Cathedral of the Descent of the Only-Begotten under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
The monastic clergy of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the faithful in attendance offered prayers to the Lord for the resilience, safety, and well-being of the forcibly displaced Armenians of Artsakh, for the swift release of the Armenian prisoners of war and the leaders of Artsakh held hostage in Baku, as well as for the peace and prosperity of our people.
At the conclusion of the service, prayers were also offered for the repose of the souls of the valiant sons of our nation who fell in the Artsakh wars.
