On June 12, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received young people from various dioceses of the Diaspora who have arrived at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to participate in the Armenological and Theological courses that commenced this June.
With the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians, these courses, organized at the Mother See, aim to strengthen the knowledge of the Armenian language and history of youth, deepen their spiritual understanding, and provide them with the opportunity to become more deeply acquainted with the spiritual and cultural heritage and values of their Homeland.
Cultural programs and pilgrimages to various sacred sites are also organized for the participants. The program is coordinated by His Grace Bishop Vahan Hovhanissian, Director of the “Garegin I” Educational Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The nuns of Ghazaravan Monastery also contribute to the program's organizational aspects. During the meeting, imparting his paternal blessing to the Diaspora youth, His Holiness expressed his joy at their gathering in Holy Etchmiadzin, inquired about their daily life and studies, and emphasized the importance and benefit of the courses in enriching their knowledge, strengthening their national spirit, and deepening their love for the Homeland and national identity.
In his address, the Catholicos of All Armenians urged young Armenians to remain united around the Armenian Church, diligently continue their studies, and, enriched with the knowledge they acquire, contribute as worthy sons and daughters of the Nation to strengthen their Homeland and Diaspora communities.
