Divine Liturgy Celebrated at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On July 2, at the Mother See Cathedral, His Grace Bishop Ter Mushegh Babayan, Director of the Administrative and Economic Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, celebrated the Holy and Immortal Divine Liturgy for the peace of the homeland, the freedom of captives, and the consolation of the afflicted.
In his sermon, the Holy Father emphasized that the ministry of Christ and the apostles was marked by hardships, recalling the Lord’s words: “If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20), as a warning to the faithful of the challenges to be expected throughout all ages.
“Our spiritual brothers, Archbishop Mikael and Archbishop Bagrat, who have dedicated their lives to God, the Church, and the homeland, as well as the national benefactor Samvel Karapetyan, who has stood in defense of the Church and has always lived his faith through action, are today unlawfully imprisoned and held in isolation,” said the celebrant bishop, inviting faithful Armenian sons and daughters to lift their prayers to God to dispel their loneliness.
In conclusion, Bishop Mushegh encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in their spiritual and national values, to love and fight for the truth, and not to fear persecution.
