Armenian Apostolic Holy Church Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On May 7, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received international lawyer Robert Amsterdam.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing campaign directed against the Armenian Church, including the repression of clergy and their unlawful criminal prosecution on fabricated charges, as well as measures taken against Armenian faithful who have spoken out in defense of the Church.

In this context, the importance of safeguarding the rule of law, upholding international human rights standards, and ensuring the fair administration of justice was emphasized.
