His Holiness Karekin II Receives Participants of AGBU’s “Discover Armenia” Program

On July 31, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin young representatives of the Armenian Diaspora participating in the “Discover Armenia” program of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).
Conveying His Patriarchal blessing and fatherly message to those present, the Catholicos of All Armenians highly praised such programs, which the Armenian General Benevolent Union has consistently implemented for many years.
His Holiness noted that through these programs, young Armenians from various Diaspora communities are enabled to become familiar with the realities of the Homeland, strengthen their connection with Armenia, and fully utilize their knowledge and abilities to overcome the challenges facing the Armenian people and to help build a brighter future.
His Holiness also urged those present to deepen their knowledge of the Armenian Church and the rich spiritual and cultural heritage created by their forefathers over the centuries. This heritage has played an exceptional role in the formation and preservation of the Armenian people’s national identity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch exhorted the youth to maintain a strong bond with the Homeland and the Mother Church, make meaningful contributions to national and spiritual life, and participate in the strengthening and flourishing of the Homeland.
