Members of the Argentinean AGBU Ladies Union Visited Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin 02.10.2017

On October 1, the AGBU Ladies Union members, led by Ms. Martha Emiryan, visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The union members met His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

His Eminence conveyed to the guests the blessings and greetings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. He spoke on the important role of the Ladies Union in the Argentinean community life, particularly their beneficial activities, for the benefit of the patriotic education of future generations, Armenian identity and preservation of the Armenian language.

His Eminence spoke about the problems and challenges facing the Diasporan communities and the ways to overcome them. In this regard, he greatly emphasized the mission of the Armenian Church in the Diaspora.

At the conclusion Archbishop Nathan expressing his appreciation to the members of the Ladies Union, wished them the protection and guidance of the Almighty God and a fruitful activity in the Armenian communities of Argentina.

Then the union members attended Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral, and visited the museums of the Mother See.

On the same day, His Eminence Archbishop Nathan also received pilgrims of the Catholic community of Perchtoldsdorf, Vienna. They were led by the community spiritual pastor, Father Josef Grünwidl.
