Priestly Ordination to Take Place at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On October 26, on the Feast of the Discovery of the Holy Cross of the Lord, with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, a priestly ordination and consecration will take place at the Cathedral of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The ceremony will be officiated by His Grace Bishop Makar Hakobyan, Primate of the Syunik Diocese.
Six deacons serving in various ecclesiastical institutions of the Mother See will be ordained to the priesthood.
On the eve of the feast, at 5:30 p.m., the rite of presenting the candidates for ordination will be performed before the Holy Altar of the Cathedral.
On the occasion of the feast, a relic of the Savior’s Cross will also be brought out for the veneration of the faithful and will remain in the Cathedral until the Evening Prayer service.
The Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:30 a.m.
