Supreme Spiritual Council Convenes at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin 04.11.2025

On November 4, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the regular session of the Supreme Spiritual Council commenced.

The session was opened with the Lord’s Prayer, after which His Holiness conveyed his blessing and good wishes to the clerical and lay members of the Supreme Spiritual Council, expressing his appreciation for their dedicated service to the Holy Church and wishing a fruitful course to the deliberations.

The agenda of the session includes issues concerning the challenges facing the homeland, the ongoing anti-church campaign, the legal processes involving unlawfully imprisoned clergy and laypersons and the protection of their rights, the Armenian captives and hostages held in Azerbaijan, the preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh and national identity, as well as administrative and disciplinary matters of the Church and issues related to the activities of the Patriarchal Sees and Dioceses.
