The Catholicos of All Armenians Received the Minister of Culture of Armenia

On 17 October, Mr. Armen Amiryan, Minister of Culture of Armenia, was received in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
Congratulating the Minister on his appointment, His Holiness wished him well in this service in development of the cultural sector for the benefit of the Homeland and the Armenian people. The Armenian Pontiff emphasized the important role of culture in the Armenian life, and particularly stressed that over the centuries the Armenian people were able to live and survive through their culture.
The newly appointed Minister expressed his gratitude to His Holiness for the blessings and well wishes, and emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Mother See.
During the meeting, they spoke about the Ministry's activities and current challenges, and strategy for the protection of sacred places and other historical monuments.
