On June 2, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received approximately 30 clergymen and pilgrims of the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The Catholicos of All Armenians bestowed his blessing upon those present, noting that such visits offer a favorable opportunity for mutual acquaintance, spiritual fellowship, and the strengthening of fraternal relations.

In his address, the Supreme Patriarch of the Armenian Church referred to the historical mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in the life of the Armenian people, particularly highlighting the Church’s role in strengthening the Christian faith, building spiritual and cultural heritage, and preserving national identity.

His Holiness also addressed the challenges facing the Armenian people, expressing gratitude to the Sister Churches, the World Council of Churches, the Conference of European Churches, as well as various interchurch and religious organizations for their support extended to the Armenian people and the Armenian Church in difficult times.

During the meeting, His Holiness also answered the guests’ questions concerning Church–State relations, ways of addressing the challenges facing the Church, and the more effective implementation of the mission of the Armenian and Universal Church in contemporary times.
