Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Participants of the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Scouting Jamboree

On July 30, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin the participants of the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree in Armenia.
Held every four years, this year’s jamboree is attended by around 900 scouts from 26 countries worldwide.
Conveying His Patriarchal blessing and words of love to those gathered, His Holiness expressed his satisfaction that Armenian sons and daughters from across the world have once again gathered on their native soil.
Highly appreciating the educational, cultural, and spiritual programs organized within the framework of the jamboree, the Supreme Patriarch emphasized the importance of such initiatives, which help young people better know their Homeland, strengthen their national consciousness, and inspire them to serve their people and Homeland.
The Catholicos of All Armenians noted that, while in the Homeland, young people become acquainted with its contemporary realities, learn about the history and culture of the Armenian people, their spiritual heritage and sacred sites, and come to a deeper understanding of their national identity.
His Holiness expressed confidence that the days spent in Armenia will remain unforgettable in their memories, enriching them with new spiritual experiences, warm impressions, and memorable discoveries.
In his remarks, the Supreme Patriarch joyfully spoke of the young people’s patriotic spirit, love for God, and devotion to the Holy Church, emphasizing that these very values preserve the strength of national life, unite Armenians throughout the world, and strengthen the faith and hope of the Armenian people for the future.
Addressing the challenges facing the Armenian people and the Homeland, His Holiness emphasized that today, more than ever, national unity, brotherly love, and selfless devotion to the common national interests are essential.
According to the Primate of the Armenian Church, only through love, unity, and united efforts can existing trials be overcome, and a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Homeland be built.
Thereafter, His Holiness urged Armenian sons and daughters to always preserve in their hearts the unquenchable national spirit, unwavering faith in God, and steadfast love for the Homeland and the Holy Church.
The Catholicos of All Armenians wished that love for the Homeland and the Holy Church would inspire them in their lives, studies, and work, and that they would dedicate their knowledge, talents, and abilities to the welfare and advancement of the Armenian people and the flourishing of the Homeland.
In conclusion, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his appreciation to the members of the Central Executive Board of Homenetmen, the organizers of the jamboree, and representatives of Armenian organizations, who, through their devoted service, contribute to the education, national and spiritual upbringing of the younger generation, and the formation of its Armenian identity.
