"Alex and Marie Manoogian" treasury house was opened on October 11, 1982. In modern Armenian architecture, the treasury house is a bright example, which contains new and unique features of Armenian classical architecture. The architect is Baghdasar Arzumanyan. The treasury house is named in honor of American-Armenian philanthropists Mr. Alex and Mrs. Marie Manoogian. This beautiful and valuable building was built thanks to their donation. The museum specimens of the Armenian Church are preserved and displayed in the two-story structure.
Over time, the samples displayed in the treasury were brought to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin from different Armenian communities covering a wide geographical area. These samples testify to the skill and high creative spirit of Armenian masters of different eras, as well as to the unique perception of beauty.
The treasury displays many valuable items, ecclesiastical as well as applied art, bowls, altar curtains, relics, vestments, torches, crosses, ancient Armenian carpets, pottery and wood carvings.
Among the treasury's most valuable exhibits are the handwritten inscriptions and manuscripts, with their unique miniatures, and the delicate embroidered bowl covers.
The collection of paintings with the image of the Holy Mother of God, which was created over time in different regions of historical Armenia, is also stored here.
Recently, a separate room was also opened, where the gifts given to the Armenian Church by the guests, visitors and Armenian believers from different parts of the world are located.
