It is a three-story building located on the east side of the deacon's dormitory. It was built in 1978 with the funds of "Galust Gulbenkyan Fund". The author of the project is Baghdasar Arzumanyan. The building is designed to be in harmony with the Ghazarapat and to be perceived as its natural continuation. The construction of the Guest House was completed in the fall of 1978, and the opening was held on the days of the celebrations organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth of Patriarch Vazgen I.
In 2007, the building was repaired with the donation of philanthropist James Galustyan.
