Mother See Condemns the ‘Western Azerbaijan’ Exhibit in Warsaw for Falsifying History

Mother See Condemns the ‘Western Azerbaijan’ Exhibit in Warsaw for Falsifying History 18.04.2025

On April 8, 2025, an exhibition entitled “Western Azerbaijan: In Our Cultural Memory”, organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Poland in Warsaw, became yet another manifestation of Azerbaijan’s ongoing campaign of falsification and propaganda. This initiative reflects Azerbaijan’s territorial claims toward the Republic of Armenia and its attempts to appropriate the centuries-old spiritual and cultural heritage of the Armenian people.

Azerbaijan’s efforts to rewrite history and portray Armenian towns and villages, sacred sites, and historical-cultural monuments located in Armenia and Artsakh as “Azerbaijani” or “Albanian” are deeply objectionable and must be unequivocally condemned.

Such unacceptable initiatives not only fail to promote peace in the region but also undermine efforts to foster an environment of solidarity and peaceful coexistence among peoples. Culture must serve as a bridge between nations, not as a tool for political manipulation or opportunism.

We call upon the international community, relevant organizations, diplomatic missions, and cultural institutions to deliver a clear and principled assessment of such falsifications of history and culture, and to firmly condemn these acts of assault perpetrated by Azerbaijan against the Armenian people.
