Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Argentine Lawyers and Journalists 28.04.2025

On April 28, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, welcomed a group of Argentine lawyers and journalists at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, accompanied by Argentine-Armenian Juan Pablo Gechijian. Mr. Gechijian conveyed to His Holiness that the delegation’s visit to Armenia was intended to deepen their understanding of the Armenian people, their history, culture, and spiritual heritage, as well as to gain insight into the current situation in the country.

Extending his blessings to those present, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his satisfaction with the friendly relations between the two peoples and the ongoing cooperation between the countries. His Holiness particularly highlighted the vibrant national and spiritual life of the Armenian community in Argentina, commending the country’s authorities for their attentive support of the community.

In his speech, His Holiness also spoke on the relations between the Armenian Church and the Sister Churches and inter-church organizations. He discussed the devastating consequences of the war initiated by Azerbaijan and the significant challenges confronting Armenia.

The Supreme Patriarch underscored the importance of efforts by friendly nations and the international community to foster peace and stability in the region, as well as the urgent release of prisoners of war and hostages held captive in Baku.
