Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Central Committee Members of the Liberal Democratic Party

On 30 May, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the newly elected members of the Liberal Democratic Party Central Committee. They were accompanied by the Board Chairman Mr. Sergio Nahabetian.
Asking for the blessings of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Mr. Nahabetian introduced to His Holiness the new board members. In his remarks, the Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party emphasized the exceptional role of the Armenian Church in the national life. On behalf of the party members he expressed readiness to support the Armenian Church and its mission.
His Holiness conveyed his blessings to the Party's newly elected central committee. His Holiness extended his congratulations to the chairman of the Party and the members on the occasion the election, wishing them productive and successful activity in the national life.
The Catholicos of All Armenians confirmed with satisfaction that Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin always felt the support of the Liberal Democratic Party. On this His Holiness urged the Liberal Democratic Party to overcome the division within the party and makes its service more effective in the Motherland and Diaspora.
During the meeting they reflected on the promotional, educational and social programs of the Armenian Church, and the issue of readiness of the clergy.
At the conclusion, once again conveying appreciation to the guests, His Holiness expressed confidence that through their devoted and zealous efforts, they will confront the numerous challenges facing the Armenian people worldwide.
The meeting was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See.
