Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Faith 04.10.2026

On October 4, Ms. Paula White-Cain, Senior Advisor to the White House Faith Office, attended the Divine and Immortal Liturgy at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin after arriving in Armenia to participate in the Second Prayer Breakfast held in Yerevan on October 2–3.

Following the sacred service, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the Senior Advisor to the White House Faith Office at his residence.

His Holiness welcomed Ms. White-Cain’s visit to Armenia and the spiritual center of all Armenians, noting that it provided a fitting opportunity to become better acquainted with the country, the first to proclaim Christianity as its state religion, as well as the Armenian people and their rich spiritual and cultural heritage.

His Holiness also expressed appreciation for Ms. White-Cain’s efforts in organizing the meeting between President Donald Trump and Armenian spiritual leaders from the United States.

The interlocutors emphasized the role of religion and spiritual values in building a safe, prosperous, and flourishing life for peoples. They stressed that faith in God should be manifested through love, justice, and care for one’s neighbor, thereby strengthening human solidarity and peaceful coexistence. In this regard, they highlighted the importance of spiritual leaders working together to advance peace throughout the world and contribute to a brighter future for peoples.

For her part, Ms. White-Cain thanked His Holiness for the warm reception and shared her impressions of the Divine Liturgy, emphasizing the profound reverence and spiritual peace she experienced during the sacred service. The guest also expressed appreciation for Armenia’s rich Christian heritage as a living testimony to the faith of the Armenian people.
