Armenian Apostolic Holy Church Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On May 14, the Armenian Apostolic Church will celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this occasion, a Holy and Immortal Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Mother Cathedral of the Descent of the Only-Begotten.

The blessed day also commemorates another historic event of 1441, when the See of the Catholicos of All Armenians was transferred from the city of Sis (Cilicia) to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a Patriarchal Prayer Service will be offered at the Mother Cathedral of the Descent of the Only-Begotten.

The Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Following the sacred ceremony, a cultural event dedicated to the feast will be held at the Mother See, featuring performances by students of the Hayordeats Centers for Youth.
