Catholicos of All Armenians Congratulates Newly Elected Catholicos-Patriarch of the Georgian Orthodox Church

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Shio III.
In his congratulatory message, the Supreme Patriarch particularly noted:
“Your election is a vivid testimony to your many years of selfless service to the Georgian Church and people.
We pray that the Almighty Lord, through His abundant grace, will steadfastly strengthen and support you in your lofty patriarchal ministry — leading the pious Georgian people along the paths of peace and blessing.
Your Holiness, beloved brother in Christ, we are confident that the centuries-old fraternal ties between the Armenian and Georgian Churches, founded upon the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ and our rich spiritual and historical heritage, will continue during Your Patriarchate to serve as a firm foundation for cooperation between our Churches, peoples, and states.”
His Holiness wished Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III good health and many years of fruitful pastoral ministry to the glory of God and for the prosperity of the Georgian Church and the faithful Georgian people.
