Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Administrator of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Diocese of Yerevan and Armenia

On September 14, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin His Eminence Archbishop Aksiy of Podolsk and Lyubertsy, Administrator of the Diocese of Yerevan and Armenia of the Russian Orthodox Church.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed matters related to organizing the communal life of Russian Orthodox faithful in Armenia and their spiritual and pastoral care.
They also addressed the fraternal relations and cooperation that have developed between the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and the Russian Orthodox Church.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing to develop interchurch ties and cooperation in the pastoral sphere, with a view to further strengthening fraternal relations between the two Churches and the spiritual life of their peoples.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his fraternal greetings and good wishes to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
