His Holiness Karekin II Defrocks Rev. Fr. Garnik Mkhitaryan

Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; has issued a Pontifical Order whereby Rev. Fr. Garnik Mkhitaryan, a member of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, has been defrocked.
The application submitted by Father Garnik served as the basis for the Order.
As of this day, the defrocked clergyman is a member of the laity and shall be known by his baptismal name of Martin Mkhitaryan.
