Members of the German-Armenian Forum Visited Mother See

On August 30, the delegation of the German-Armenian Forum visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, led by Mr. Albertt Weiler, a member of the German Bundestag, and President of the Forum.
The guests were welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. His Eminence conveyed the blessings and greetings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
Archbishop Nathan praised the cooperation in various fields between the two countries, particularly the work of the German-Armenian forum; aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. On this occasion Archbishop Nathan expressed gratitude to the members of the German-Armenian forum for the important role of the Bundestag in the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
In his remarks, Archbishop Nathan also noted the universal religious high values professed by the German people, and the humanitarian stance displayed toward other countries and peoples. He emphasized apprectiationg for the caring attitude shown towards the Armenian community in Germany.
Mr. Weiler also expressed satisfaction for the effective cooperation, highlighting the Forum's activities in the life of the two nations.
Archbishop Nathan presented to the guests the historical mission of the Armenian Church in the life of the Armenian people, the current activities in the social and educational fields as well as the youth involvement in church life.
His Eminence also answered questions from the forum members, which related to family values, spiritual guidance in the Armenian Armed Forces, the situation in the Middle East and the involvement of the Armenian Church towards the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Karabakh.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Archbishop Nathan wished success to the mission of the Forum.
