Mother See Sunday School Teachers Conference

With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the Christian Education Center (CEC) of the Mother See, with the support of the World Vision Charitable Organization, held a Sunday School Teachers Conference in Aghveran, Armenia from June 13 to 17. The Conference was attended by nearly one hundred teachers from various Dioceses of the Armenian Church.
Each day began with a Bible study, and ended with a collective prayer. During the conference, the participants were instructed on the mystery of the Divine Liturgy in its entirety.
During the five days of the conference, thematic lectures were delivered by His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavoush; Rev. Fr. Narek Avagyan, Vicar of the Diocese of Artik; Rev. Fr. Rouben Zargayan, Director of the Prison Chaplaincy Program; Rev. Fr. Zakaria Baghumyan, Director of the Department of the Bishops' Synod; Rev. Fr. Nshan Alaverdyan and Rev. Fr. Abgar Margaryan from the Araratian Pontifical Diocese of Yerevan; and Mr. Arshavir Gabujyan, Director of the Armenian Bible Society.
Ms. Anna Khachatryan and Rev. Fr. Nshan Panfiorov from the Diocese of Shirak directed the group’s work. The teachers presented collages representing the Sunday school mission
During the conference, the participants attended a Divine Liturgy in the 12th century Holy Mother of God,Church of Aghveran, which was offered by His Grace Bishop Vardan Navasardyan, Director of the CEC.
At the conclusion of the Conference, according to tradition, the participants raised a united prayer to God for the longevity of His Holiness.
