His Holiness Karekin II Welcomes Newly Ordained Priests Following Their Spiritual Preparation

On June 16, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, welcomed the newly ordained priests who received holy orders on May 4 in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin. Having completed their forty-day period of spiritual preparation at the Mother See under the guidance of the Grand Sacristan, Reverend Father Anania Tsaturyan, the priests gathered to receive His Holiness’s blessing and exhortation.
During the meeting, Father Anania presented the newly ordained clergy, seeking the Catholicos’s paternal blessing and guidance for their pastoral mission.
His Holiness imparted his paternal blessing, expressing his satisfaction that these dedicated servants now continue their ministry in the household of the Holy Church. He emphasized the crucial role of devoted and selfless service in advancing the Church’s spiritual and nation-preserving mission.
The Catholicos exhorted the newly ordained priests to anchor their ministry in love and faith, urging them to fulfill their soul-saving mission with commitment and by setting a model example of clerical service. He also reminded them that their journey would bring challenges, encouraging them to persevere through trials with strong faith, dedication, and patience. Guided by the Holy Spirit, they were called to illuminate the spiritual lives of the faithful and contribute to the flourishing of the Church.
Concluding the meeting, His Holiness imparted his blessing with the Guardian prayer and presented the clergy with hand crosses and Holy Communion ciboria.
