On October 21, 2012, under the patronage of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, the ground blessing ceremony of the candlelight hall was performed. Construction works are in progress. Completion is planned for 2024. The benefactors of the structure are Mr. Garnik and Mrs. Ani Yakubyans, the architects are Aslan Mkhitaryan and Hayk Mkrtchyan.
It is located in the western part of the Mother Cathedral. Candle lighting will be organized here soon so that the frescoes of the Mother Cathedral are not damaged.
