It was built in 1896 during the reign of Patriarch Mkrtich I Khrimyan. Located in the southwestern part of the Residence courtyard. Not having the necessary conditions for the demonstration, it served its purpose for a short time. In the Soviet years it was confiscated and only in 1957 returned to the Mother See.
For many years it was used as a warehouse for economic goods, for which it was sometimes called Khrimyan warehouse.
During the reign of Patriarch Karekin II, it was thoroughly renovated and furnished (installation of heating, ventilation and cooling systems of the building was carried out), and serves (2007-2008) as a museum. The renovation was carried out thanks to the sponsorship of Sargis and Ruth Bedevyans. Now it has been renamed "Khrimyan Museum".
