Catholicos of All Armenians Welcomes Delegation of the Boya Research Center

On January 13, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, welcomed a delegation led by Mr. Rui-Ci Liu, honorary president of the "Boya" Research Center (Beijing), at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The delegation presented the center’s activities and outlined the purpose of their visit to Armenia—to study the country’s culture, traditions, and the history and mission of the Armenian Church.
His Holiness expressed appreciation for their efforts in fostering cross-cultural understanding. He spoke about the unique role of Holy Etchmiadzin in the spiritual and cultural life of the Armenian people, highlighting the pivotal role of the Christian faith in shaping Armenian identity, preserving cultural heritage, and uniting the nation.
During the discussion, His Holiness also reflected on the historical connections between the Armenian and Chinese peoples, an emerging Armenian community in China, and hoped that the Boya Research Center’s work would strengthen mutual understanding and bring the two nations closer together.
Mr. Rui-Ci Liu, in turn, informed the Catholicos about the research conducted on Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage in Western Armenia and Georgia (Tbilisi) and shared the center's plans for future projects.
