Armenian Apostolic Holy Church Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Artsakh State Officials On October 8, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received state officials and representatives of the political forces of Artsakh at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The delegation was led by Interim  President of Artsakh Ashot Danielyan and the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh, His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.

During the meeting, His Holiness and the Artsakh officials discussed ways to address the challenges faced by the displaced people of Artsakh and to protect the rights of the Artsakh Armenians. In this context, the interlocutors also referred to the social assistance programs implemented by the Mother See and to the pastoral work being carried out among Artsakh Armenians in their current places of residence.

His Holiness emphasized that the Armenian Church will continue its dedicated efforts in this regard. The participants underlined the importance of pursuing consistent joint actions in international forums to advocate for the rights of the people of Artsakh, to ensure the release of hostages and prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan, to determine the fate of the missing, and to preserve Artsakh’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Artsakh state officials expressed their filial gratitude and loyalty to the Armenian Apostolic Mother Church.
