Catholicos of All Armenians Welcomes Members of the Board of Directors of Fund for Armenian Relief

On October 4, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the members and benefactors of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America. They were accompanied by His Grace Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese and President of the FAR, and Mr. Randy Sapah-Gulian, Chair of the FAR Board of Directors.
At the meeting, Bishop Mesrop, seeking the blessing of His Holiness, introduced the guests and presented an overview of the Fund’s activities.
His Holiness the Catholicos then conveyed his patriarchal blessing to those present, expressing high appreciation for the nationally significant service and mission that the FAR carries out both in the homeland and throughout the diaspora.
Referring to the nation-serving and church-supporting mission of the Fund, the Catholicos of All Armenians noted that during these difficult and turbulent times for the homeland, the FAR has dedicated its resources to the well-being of the Armenian people, making significant contributions in the fields of education, culture, social welfare, and healthcare, as well as in strengthening ties between Armenia and the diaspora.
His Holiness also extended his personal appreciation to the friends and benefactors who support the mission of the FAR, emphasizing that through their generosity and sincere service, the life of the Church and the nation continues to be enriched and illuminated.
During the conversation, His Holiness expressed concern about the internal and external challenges facing the Armenian people, highlighting the importance of the efforts of Armenian diaspora institutions, as well as those of the FAR, in overcoming existing difficulties and contributing to the strengthening and progress of the homeland.
In his remarks, the Supreme Patriarch also expressed his gratitude and appreciation, noting that through the zeal and devotion of the clergy and church-loving faithful, the Church continues fulfilling its sacred mission.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness answered the guests’ questions regarding the various programs and activities of the Mother See.
Finally, the Catholicos of All Armenians offered his prayers, asking the Lord to bless and strengthen the Diocesan Primate, the members, friends, and benefactors of the FAR in all their nation-building endeavors.
