Holy Thursday at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 2, Holy Thursday, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church commemorated the Last Supper of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
On this occasion, in the morning, the Service of the Penitents was conducted in the Mother Cathedral, followed by the Midday Hour Service.
At the conclusion of the service, the Holy and Immortal Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin by the Deputy Sacristan of the Mother See, the Reverend Fr. Hieromonk Davit Ohanyan, in remembrance of the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion by our Lord Jesus Christ during the Last Supper.
During the Divine Liturgy, the homily “On Holy Communion” by St. Basil of Caesarea was also read.
