Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Participants of the International Conference “The Land of Noah: Christianity after Postmodernism”

On September 17, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin the participants of the international conference “The Land of Noah: Christianity after Postmodernism,” organized by the Amrots Foundation.
Mr. Manuk Hergnyan, founder of the Amrots Foundation and a member of its Board of Trustees, introduced the conference participants to His Holiness, who will be held on September 18–19 at the Haghartsin Monastic Complex.
He noted that representatives from various countries and professional fields had come together to reflect, in the light of the Christian faith, on contemporary challenges and identify ways to address them.
The Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed His blessing and best wishes to those present, welcoming the conference in Armenia, a nation with a rich Christian heritage.
In his remarks, the Armenian Patriarch reflected on the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church's important mission in the life of the Armenian people, emphasizing the Church’s role in strengthening the Christian faith and shaping and preserving the nation’s identity.
According to His Holiness, the Armenian people, remaining faithful to Christ’s enlightening teachings, have, with unwavering spiritual strength, overcome the gravest trials that befell them throughout the centuries, creating a rich culture and bequeathing enduring spiritual and national values to future generations.
In this regard, His Holiness noted that faith continues to provide firm support in overcoming contemporary challenges. He also underscored the importance of strengthening Christian values and fostering the individual’s spiritual and moral growth alongside scientific and technological progress in the modern world, noting that the achievements of science should serve the well-being of both the individual and society.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians wished the conference participants fruitful deliberations and expressed hope that their discussions would promote Christian values and their embodiment in public life.
