Catholicos of All Armenians Welcomes Hayordyats House Students at the Mother See

On March 29, on the occasion of Palm Sunday, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received approximately 760 students of the Hayordyats Youth Houses, which operate under the auspices of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Armenian General Benevolent Union.
The spiritual supervisor of the Hayordyats Houses, the Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Harutyun Kirakosyan, expressed on behalf of the students their joy at having the opportunity to visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on Palm Sunday and to receive the blessing of the Head of the Armenian Church.
Conveying his blessing and paternal love to the Armenian children, His Holiness emphasized with satisfaction that, through the Hayordyats Youth Houses, the Armenian Church makes an important contribution to the education and upbringing of the younger generation.
The Supreme Patriarch joyfully affirmed that in the Hayordyats Youth Houses, not only are the talents and gifts of Armenian youth discovered and strengthened, but their spiritual and moral character is also formed, grounded in spiritual and national values. In this context, the Catholicos of All Armenians noted that the students will dedicate the skills and abilities they acquire to the progress and development of their homeland.
During the meeting, His Holiness expressed his gratitude to the directors of the Hayordyats Youth Houses, the teachers, and the priests carrying out spiritual service there for their diligent, devoted, and selfless work.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Supreme Shepherd of the Armenian Church presented the students of the Hayordyats Youth Houses with Family Bibles and crosses.
