Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Members of the Judeo-Christian Alliance Save Armenia

On September 23, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, received Matthias Pertulla, Director of the Judeo-Christian Alliance Save Armenia, and Dr. Alveda King, member of the Alliance’s Board of Directors, civil rights advocate, ambassador of the Christian faith, and niece of Martin Luther King Jr.
During the conversation, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his gratitude to the members and supporters of the Alliance for their assistance to Armenia and the Armenian people, as well as for their efforts to make the Armenian voice heard on international platforms.
The discussion addressed the challenges facing Armenia and matters related to regional security. His Holiness expressed concern regarding the demands made by Azerbaijan, the situation of Armenian prisoners of war held in Baku, the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, as well as the appropriation and destruction of Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage by Azerbaijan.
In his remarks, the Supreme Patriarch emphasized the importance of the efforts of friendly countries and the international community in promoting a just and sustainable peace in the region.
Representatives of the Judeo-Christian Alliance Save Armenia reaffirmed their support for the Armenian Church and the Armenian people, sharing concerns regarding the violation of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh and the preservation of Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage in Artsakh.
They emphasized that these issues will continue to be raised at the highest levels of the United States government, ensuring that Armenia will not be forgotten amid the turbulence of global events.
