Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Newly Ordained Priests 27.10.2025

On October 27, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received six newly ordained priests, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Magar Hakobyan, Primate of the Diocese of Syunik.

During the meeting, Bishop Magar expressed his gratitude to the Supreme Patriarch for the honor of performing the priestly ordination. His Grace emphasized that the newly ordained priests, through their devoted ministry and service for the good of the people, will become a source of spiritual renewal for the nation.

The Catholicos of All Armenians then congratulated the newly consecrated priests on the occasion of their anointing and ordination, imparting to them his paternal blessing and kindly pastoral exhortations.

His Holiness reflected on the priestly vocation and the significance of spiritual service, noting that serving God, one's nation, and the Church is a great honor and a great grace.

Karekin II called upon the young clergymen to be zealous and steadfast in their ministry, attentive to the needs of the faithful, and not to lose heart in the face of life’s trials and difficulties. He urged them to overcome challenges with faith and hope, offering through their life and conduct an edifying example for the faithful.

On the path of fulfilling their spiritual mission, His Holiness emphasized that selfless love, the spirit of sacrifice, and devotion must always guide them.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness blessed the priests with the Guardian Prayer and presented them with ‘Mashtots’ liturgical books.
