Statement on the Extension of the Detention of His Eminence Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan

On September 2, in a gross violation of law and justice, the detention of His Eminence Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan was once again extended.
It is completely evident that the court, instead of upholding justice, has openly joined the anti-Church campaign orchestrated by the authorities, thereby assuming a dishonorable role in persecuting clergymen and those who support the Church.
It is imperative to put an end to lawlessness and discrimination, and to immediately release His Eminence Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, as well as all individuals imprisoned on false charges.
