Prayer for the Republic and Visit to Yerablur Military Pantheon on Armenia’s Independence Day

On September 21, on the occasion of the Republic of Armenia's Independence Day, a Prayer for the Republic was offered at the Mother Cathedral under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
The clergy and the faithful gathered in prayer, beseeching God for the steadfastness of the Republic of Armenia and for peace, security, and the well-being of its people.
Thereafter, the Catholicos of All Armenians, accompanied by bishops and members of the monastic congregation of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of the sons of the Armenian nation who gave their lives in defense of the Homeland and the country's independence.
At the pantheon, the Armenian Pontiff presided over a Requiem Service. The clergy raised prayers to God for the repose of the souls of the brave sons of the Homeland.
His Holiness and the accompanying clergy also visited the graves of the heroes of the Armenian nation, offering prayers and paying tribute to their blessed memory.
